Sustainability starts from the supply chain

Sustainability starts in the supply chain: a discussion between institutions, Italian companies, and Slovakian businesses.

It is not the result of an isolated choice, but of an ongoing dialogue between all the actors in the supply chain. Sustainability arises when the entire supply chain start speaking the same language.

This is the meaning of the meeting on the theme of green buildings which took place today in Rome, at the headquarters of Ponzio Aluminium Design, together with the delegation of the’Embassy of the Slovak Republic.

From sharing some of our green building projects completed in Rome, LauraScrimieri and Cinzia Polesini wanted to highlight the significant contribution Italy is making to achieving sustainability goals in the construction sector, thanks to the increasingly central role of certified sustainability.

A vision that puts at the centre collaboration, quality and institutional responsibility: because the sustainable transition becomes truly effective when the entire supply chain, together with Italian and European institutions, chooses to build a shared, long-term path.

Rome Future Week, the official event in our new headquarters

At Rome Future Week, OGB STUDIO is among the organizers

During the Rome Future Week, we were among the organizers of an event that saw great participation and enthusiasm.

To make the event interactive and engaging, we created two hands-on experiences:

  • The first, Your Carbon Footprint, invited participants to give a value to their impact in three different areas, subsequently showing how much our daily life produces in terms of CO2.
  • The second interaction asked participants to assign priorities, in the different intended uses (home, office, school, shopping centers, hospitals, etc.) to fundamental parameters such as natural light, thermal comfort, air quality, inclusion, aspects related to sustainability.

The event was intended to be a starting point for reflection on how sustainable practices not only improve the environment, but also create economic and social value. Sustainability, in fact, is not limited to protecting the planet, but also promotes inclusion and well-being within organizations.

Tour with the architect at the Maximo Shopping Mall

Guided tours of #arelonsite. And we were invited to participate in the event. On 10 November, the visit to the Maximo Shopping Center took place, of which we followed the BREEAM certification, one of the most important internationally and the first in Italy for a mall.

The project born in the southern suburbs of Rome was guided directly by Arch. Fabrizio Capolei, designer and Art Director of 3C + t Capolei Cavalli Architetti Associati, follow by Elisabetta Mapelli - Parsec 6 SpA, technical office manager and executive / construction design coordinator and Anna Momesso of Spazio Futuro, Retail Commercial director.

Outside a space with its square that invites to be lived by the citizens (much larger than Piazza del Popolo), and become the center of cultural events, markets, meeting point for young people.

Inside, a place where light is the protagonist with deliberately double heights of the windows, galleries with ceilings with large windows, panels reminiscent of a starry sky, games of mirrors and a careful choice of materials such as external panels made of glass, mirrors and white marble that returns to reflect the light.

LEED FOR HOUSES

LEED FOR HOUSES
A home is more than just a refuge: homes are the most important places in our lives.
A LEED certified home uses less energy and resources and is healthier for you and your family.
A residential building that respects the LEED criteria, whether it is single-family or multi-family, has spaces where people can live in full health, because they are designed with particular attention to the health and comfort of the people who live inside them: clean air, plenty of natural light and the use of safe building materials.
These buildings, being more efficient, allow us to consume less energy and water, thus reducing monthly bills.
Additionally, LEED certified homeowners directly contribute to a net positive impact on the entire community.
OGB STUDIO has professionals within its ranks with the credentials needed to follow the entire certification process from the design phase, to construction, up to certification.

Thanks to the accreditations acquired by the architect Riccardo Hopps, who became LEED Green Rater, and the architect Mariana Duarte De Santana, who became LEED AP HOMES, OGB STUDIO will be able to support you throughout the certification process.
The experience gained, with the first two projects registered in Europe, according to the LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily Core&Shell protocol, projects us as the best Italian reality to provide qualified support to your needs.
