Tricase, Lecce
Demolition and reconstruction project
of a summer residence in Salento
The area of high environmental and cultural value and the presence of an original dry stone liama mortified by the previous construction, leads to the choice of an essential project capable of bringing out architectural elements with a strong symbolic and evocative value of the Salento and Mediterranean tradition, revisited in a contemporary key. Spatial and functional citations of vaulted spaces applied to fluid and shared environments in which the liama, previously hidden and invisible, becomes the protagonist and fulcrum generator of places. Traditional materials (tuff, Lecce stone, plaster) and innovative materials (corten steel, Sikalindi_Verafibradificod'india). Intimacy and large windows towards the strong nature of the sea, the olive trees and the Mediterranean scrub.
